Subcamps

Tarus is divided into seven sub camps and about 1800 Scouts adn Guides will be living in each of these. The names of the sub camps (Kulo, Uitto, Justeeri, Patikka, Korpi, Stocken and Savotta) are derived from words related to the Finnish forests, forestry and forest industry. Check out the meaning of the subcamp names in English and German!

There will be Scouts and Guides from all over Finland in every sub camp. The international camp participants will also be divided equally into the seven sub camps. You can check your own subunits subcamp here.

A so called family camp ‘Lastu’ will also be found at Tarus and it will be on the area of subcamp ‘Patikka’. The families of the people working in Tarus have the opportunity to live in Lastu family camp.

Disabled Scouts and Guides will be living in the sub camp Stocken.

The location of the sub camps is represented in the campsite map.
