More information on the Tour of Finland

This e-mail was sent to the groups who have registered to the Tour of Finland

Dear group leader,

Your group has registered for the Tour of Finland, which is arranged after Tarus. About 180 Guides and Scouts will participate the tour.

The preliminary information about the Tour of Finland, stated that the cost should not exceed 130 euros. However, as we have been making reservations for busses and entrance fees, we have realized that the price for the Tour will be about 135 euros. The fee for the Tour of Finland includes transportation, food, accommodation (excluding the optional night from Sunday to Monday), entrance fees and transportation to the airport or harbour. Post cards, souvenirs and ice cream you have to buy by yourself. The accommodation will be in a camp center (one night) and in class rooms in different schools (two nights). The accommodation in the schools means we will be sleeping on the floor. Therefore you need a sleepingbag and a camping mattress.

We would like to know what the increase in the price means for you group, and what the changes made in terms of accommodation means for the plans of your group. We would kindly ask you to inform us about any cancellations or changes in the size of your group that these modifications present. Please inform us about any changes as soon as possible. If the slight incrase in the fee does not change your plans, we recommend you to pay the participation fee at the same time with the second part of the camp fee to minimize the bank charges - by the maturity date 23 April 2004.

Here is the Tour programme. Small changes are possible. You will get specific information about the programme in the third camp letter!

9.00 departure from Tampere
11.00 arrival at Rauma and getting to know the town with Finnish Scouts and Guides

16.00 arrival at Turku and visit to the outdoor museum

8th August

The tour will end in the morning and buses will take you to airport or port during the day.
